About

I am a 26 year-old freelance photojournalist and writer focused on human rights and sexual violence, with interests in culture, music, and development.

I have written and researched extensively about areas  in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, and my travels have spanned almost 40 countries.

In 2013 I completed my B.A. in International Studies and Globalisation, cum laude, with a Minor in International Politics. In 2014 I moved to Denmark to start my journalism career through a joint M.A. at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. I finished the course at the start of 2017 at Swansea University in Wales, where I wrote my dissertation on photographing sexual violence and genocide in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Most recently I attended a progamme on covering Sexual Violence in Conflict in a Changing Global Environment at the EIUC School of Human Rights in Venice, Italy.

When I’m not slaving away at the computer or a notebook, I occasionally peel my eye away from my Nikon’s viewfinder to hike, hoop, or hop a means of transit to follow a story.
